Basem Morsy sent off as Panionios defeat Larissa 2-0

Zamalek’s Bassem Morsy got sent off as Panionios defeated 2-0 in Group 8 of the Greek Cup.

Srdan Spiridonovic opened the scoring for Panionios as he found the back of the net in the 17th minute.

Just five minutes into the second half, Morsy was sent for an early shower, after receiving a red card.

Giorgos Masouras secured the win for Panionios, when he drilled the ball past Larissa’s goalkeeper in the 89th minute.

Following the loss, Larissa occupy Group 8’s last spot with zero points ahead of their clash Xanthi on the 8th of October.

Mohammed Salama is a 21-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.

Check your facts. This is not the scoreline. Only thing correct is the red card. Shame
