Legendary manager has compared Liverpool’s with his own goal threat ahead of their match against each other.

Liverpool against Manchester City is set to be one of the fixtures of the season for a number of reasons. Aside from anything, both sides look set to be embroiled in a title race as they are currently the top two sides in the division. Secondly, they went head to head with some classic encounters last season both in the Premier League and the Champions League with both teams picking up comfortable wins.

However, one of the primary reasons why the tie is so anticipated is that both teams are known for their focus on attacking play and their potent attacks. The prominent goalscorers on each team are Mohamed Salah for Liverpool and Sergio Aguero for Manchester City, and City boss Pep Guardiola has compared the two.

The 47 year old said, “Well, first he’s younger. It’s the first year since leaving Chelsea he came back to Liverpool [last season]. It was the first year he came, so we will see in the future. But a guy who has the quality to score more than 30 goals in last season, always he has this quality.”

“Football is not what you have done when there are ups and downs. So Salah remains an excellent player with a huge ability to score goals in close to there for the sent, but sometimes that happens. Sergio has scored a lot of goals, but there are some periods where he didn’t score a goal. But, it doesn’t matter. That’s happened.”

Guardiola continued, “Remains that, but Sergio, how many years is he here Sergio? It will be eight, nine years? And Salah it was the first one, so we’ll see after seven, eight years.”
