Egypt lose Ahmed Ali against Eswatini due to injury
The Egyptian Football Association have announced that Ahmed Ali sustained a muscular injury and won’t be available for the national team in their two encounters against Eswatini in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ahmed Ali who plays for Arab Contractors has sustained a thigh injury in training yesterday with the national team which will keep him out of selection.
The player has been informed today that he won’t be considered for selection after medical tests were undergone yesterday by the Egyptian National Team’s medical staff.
Javier Aguirre, Egypt’s manager, decided that he will not call up anyone to replace the 30-year-old striker and that he is happy with his 25-man squad for the match against Eswatini.
Egypt will be hosting Eswatini in the AFCON qualifiers next Friday at 19:00 CLT. Their second match will be away in Mbabane on 16/10 15:00 CLT. Egypt will be looking to win both matches after Tunisia gained the advantage on them by winning against them in the group stages of the Qualifications.
