Salah to not be prosecuted for “using phone while driving” incident
It has been decided that Liverpool hitman Mohamed Salah will not face prosecution from Merseyside Police after he appeared using his phone behind the driving wheel back in August.
The Reds had alerted the Merseyside Police about a viral video of Salah using his mobile phone while driving which put the 26-year-old winger at the risk of being punished by the local police in the province.
“We have been made aware of a video believed to show a footballer using a mobile phone whilst driving. This has been passed to the relevant department. Thanks for letting us know,” Merseyside Police stated on Twitter in August.
However, Merseyside Police announced that there will be no further action taken justifying that there is “insufficient evidence” about Salah breaching the rules.
Salah has participated in 11 games for Liverpool so this season between the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup. He scored three goals and made two assists till the moment.
