Al Ahly youngster Shady Radwan among The Guardian’s 60 top talents in the world
Al Ahly 17-year-old forward Shady Radwan has been selected as one of the most prominent 60 talents around the world according to the Guardian’s annual report.
Radwan currently leads the goal scorers chart in the U-17 Egyptian league alongside his Al Ahly teammate Abdel-Wahab Ali with seven goals for each. He received praise from his coach Ahmed Serag who hoped for him to continue his great performances.
“The speedy winger has his eyes set on becoming the next Mohamed Salah, or maybe even better,” the Guardian’s report card of Radwan read.
The Egyptian starlet scored 14 goals and delivered eight assists with Al Ahly in season 2017/2018 which is considered a cracking record for a player of his age.
Radwan is known for his stellar footwork and outstanding sense of goal. He is nicknamed “Ferarri” for his superb pace on both flanks.
Radwan is yet to earn his chance with Al Ahly’s senior squad, though the Guardian reckons his breakthrough is expected to take place “very, very soon”.
