Egypt assistant coach provides update on Salah’s injury
Salah sustained a muscular injury during Egypt’s 4-1 victory over eSwatini in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ramzy reckons that Salah’s injury is nothing serious but he will need to undergo an MRI tests to know the exact extent of his injury.
”The initial diagnosis of Salah’s injury, according to the national team’s doctor, is a strong muscle strain,” Ramzy said.
“Salah’s injury is not a muscule tear and I don’t think it is serious. However, muscular injuries require medical tests.”
”I hope and I predict that it is not a serious injury, Salah is a fantastic player and is very important for Egypt.”
Egypt prevailed over eSwatini thanks to the goals of Ahmed Elmohamady, Amr Warda, Mahmoud Trezeguet and Mohamed Salah. The Pharaohs will lineup once again against eSwatini on Tuesday in the fourth round of the qualifiers.
