Aguirre: Everything is possible when we face eSwaitni
Egypt national team head coach Javier Aguirre spoke about the absence of team star Mohamed Salah, his trust in his players to perform well and how the team is approaching eSwaitni match in the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Pharaohs are now preparing to face eSwaitni in the fourth round of the qualifiers after defeating them in Egypt 4-1 in the third round.
Aguirre assured during the pre-match press conference that everything is possible when Egypt clash with eSwaitni.
“We will surely be aiming to win but we also know that our opponent has the same aim especially that we will be playing on their stadium and among their fans,” he said. “We will also try to avoid the decline in performance that we faced in the second half of our first game against eSwaitni.”
He also said that he deals with every game separately, pointing out that when Egypt face Tunisia he will have a different strategy than the one he used for Niger and eSwatini.
The Mexican coach talked about Mohamed Salah, who was ruled out of the game due to a minor injury, saying that he is a key player for Egypt and a vital player for any team he plays for.
“The squad will miss his presence for sure but I also believe in the rest of the team players and I am sure that they will achieve the goal we want to reach.
“I make sure I understand everyone I work with whether someone from the coaching staff or team players because in the end, I am dealing with human beings with enormous potential and I am working hard to get the most out of them,” he concluded.
