Warda: We want to compensate fans after what happened in World Cup
Egypt international Amr Warda said that they are looking to compensate the fans after their performances in the 2018 World Cup.
Egypt have beaten eSwatini 2-0 in their fourth game of the AFCON 2019 qualifiers and have officially qualified for the tournament that will take place in June 2019 in Cameroon.
“Thank god for the win today, the national team is taking it to step by step and we’re looking to compensate the supporters for what happened in the World Cup,” Warda told Onsport TV channel.
“I’ll do whatever Aguirre asks from me, I always do what he asks me to do, either to play on the right wing, on the left wing or under the strikers.
“I do this with any manager because every manager has his own tactical point of view,” Warda concluded.
Egypt are set to face Niger and Tunisia in their upcoming games, and even though they secured qualification for the 2019 AFCON, they’ll be looking to top their group.
