Egypt to face Tunisia at Borg El-Arab stadium
The Egyptian Football Association have announced that the Pharaohs will host the Carthage Eagles in Alexandria on the 16th of November at 18:00.
In addition, both federations have come to an agreement over a friendly match between both country’s Olympic national teams in the 15th of November.
Tunisia currently lead the qualifying group with 12 points. The Pharaohs lie in second place with 9 points, with the difference being Tunisia’s one-nil win over Egypt in the first round of the qualifiers last year.
Should Aguirre’s men beat Tunisia, it is highly likely that Egypt would top the group going into their last match against against Niger. The Pharaohs currently have a high goal difference, being the team that has scored most goals in the qualifiers, 12, while conceding just two goals.
It is worth mentioning that both teams have already sealed qualification for the tournament in Cameroon next summer.
