Salah had sustained a muscular injury during Egypt’s 4-1 home victory against eSwatini in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers, the thing which ruled him out of the qualifiers fourth round encounter four days later and make an early return to Melwood.

Nonetheless, Salah’s injury appeared to be not dangerous as initially feared and he joined Liverpool’s training on Thursday along with Virgil Van Dijk who also reported a suspected broken rib during the international break with Netherlands.

Senegal star Sadio Mane also suffers from a physical problem, while Naby Keita’s injury will definitely rule him out of the Huddersfield match.

“We had yesterday’s session and a few of the boys trained, we’ll have to see how they react,” Klopp said on Friday.

“The only thing we are pretty sure is that Naby [Keita] will not be available with all the rest, we have to see how it develops, that’s it pretty much.”

It’s worth noting that Huddersfield Town coach David Wagner declared Ramadan Sobhi fit for the game, which promises with a potential Egyptian face-off against Salah.
