ES Setif manager: Al Ahly deserved to qualify to final

Al Ahly
Moroccan manager Rashid Tawsi praised for their qualification to the final after beating his Algerian club over two legs.

Cairo giants Al Ahly qualified to the final of Africa’s biggest club competition for the 12th time in their history after they beat the Algerians 3-2 on aggregate.

“Al Ahly deserve to qualify to the final, they’re a tough team and have special, international football players,” Tawsi said.

Regarding the match, the Moroccan hinted that the result could’ve gone eitherway.

“In general both teams put in a special performance that is up to their standards and what’s better is the great sportsmanship shown at the final whistle.”

The Red Devils will go on to face Tunisian outfits Esperance in the final after they beat Angolan side Primeiro do Agosto.

“Esperance are a tough team, Al Ahly also are club of the century and therefore it will be a match that gives pride to Arabs,” he concluded.
