Hussein El-Sayed: We proved that Al Ahli game wasn’t a fluke
Al Ettifaq player Hussein El-Sayed said that they proved that their win against Al Ahli wasn’t a fluke following their win 1-0 against Al Hazm.
Hussein El-Sayed played the full 90 minutes and provided an assist as Al Ettifaq beat Al Hazm 1-0 in the Saudi Pro League.
The 27-year-old got injured in the 40th but managed to play the full 90 minutes.
“I’m feeling good and I was able to play the full 90 minutes easily,” El-Syed said during a post match interview.
“Our goal was clear against Al Hazm which was to prove our worth after beating Al Ahli in the previous game,” he added.
El-Sayed has been in great form lately as he scored in his team’s 6-2 humiliating win against Saudi giants Al Ahli.
“The win was historic and our goal was to prove that we won because we’re good and that we didn’t win because Al Ahli was bad.
“Al Ettifaq is a big club and we’re looking to achieve our goals in this tournament,” he concluded.
Al Ettifaq are currently fourth on the Saudi League table with 14 points just four behind league leader Al Nassr. They will face tenth-placed Al Faisaly in their next game.
