Salah scores, assists as Liverpool beat Cardiff City
Salah scored what can be described as a scrappy goal in the ninth minute after he intelligently got the rebound off of Wijnaldum shot.
Four minutes later Salah produced a great cross towards Van Djik in he penalty area but his header hit the post.
In the 25th minute England full-back Alexander-Arnold took a shot from outside the penalty area but it went just wide.
Just one minute before the end of the first half Adam Lallana cleared Sean Morrison’s header off the line.
Seven minutes into the second half Cardiff’s Josh Murphy scored a goal but was ruled-out due to offside.
In the 66th minute Sadio Mane scored his side’s second goal after taking a very powerful shot with his left foot inside the penalty area. Eleven minutes later Peterson scored the visitors’ only goal of the game.
In the 84th minute Salah produced his first assist of the game after passing the ball to Xherdan Shaqiri inside the penalty are who dribbled past a Cardiff defender and placed in the bottom right corner.
Two minutes later Sadio Mane lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper to score his side’s fourth and his second goal of the game after being played through by Salah.
The 26-year-old Egyptian has now scored four goals in his last three games for The Reds. He now has five goals to his name in the Premier League this season as well as three assists.
Liverpool have now won eight of their ten opening Premier League games this season and drew the other two. They are currently on top the league table with 26 points with a game in hand on second-placed Manchester City, they will face fourth-placed Arsenal in their next game on November 3.
