Handball: Zamalek crowned African Champions

Zamalek were crowned Champions of Africa after defeating arch-rivals Al Ahly 27-25 in the 2018 African Champions League Final.

The White Knights dominated the first half through the goals of the newly appointed captain, Ahmed El Ahmar, and ended it with a 13-11 lead.

The Red Devils attempted to come back in the second half, and almost succeeded after tying up the score 23-23, five minutes before the end fo the match.

However, the Whites regained their strength and regained the lead to end the match with a 27-25 win and become the African Champions for the 11th time in their history.

The rivals are set to meet again in the African Super Cup between in April or May, where the winner will be represent Egypt in the IHF Club World Cup that is set to take place in Qatar.
