Bamalak Tsimba appointed as referee for CAF Champions League final
Al Ahly are one step closer to clinch their ninth CAF Champions League title after a dramatic 3-1 victory over Esperance Sportive de Tunis at Borg El-Arab.
The first match witnessed controversial decisions from Algerian referee Mehdi Abid Charef at Borg El-Arab as he awarded three penalties [two to Al Ahly] and booked both Dhaouadi and Kom, who will now miss the return leg in Rades.
Bamalak already officiated a game for Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League this season, during their 2-0 over Algeria’s ES Setif in the semi-final first leg.
The return-leg will take part on Friday, November 9 at Stade Olympique de Radès in Tunisia, with Al Ahly needing at least a draw or a 1-0 loss to clinch the title.
