Kuwait’s Qadsia fined over Zamalek game issue
The Union of Arab Football Association has announced the fining of Kuwaiti giants Qadsia on the view of the incidents that occurred before their return leg encounter against Zamalek in Zayed Club Champions Cup.
Zamalek’s first leg match of the Zayed Club Champions Cup finished scoreless against Kuwaiti club Qadsia in Alexandria, before they defeated the Kuwaiti champions away from home with 1-0 victory.
The second leg encounter was abnormally halted for around 15 minutes after Zamalek’s delegation alongside the Egyptian ambassador in Kuwait were prevented from entering the stadium, before they were allowed inside.
the UAFA condemned Qadsia for disallowing the Egyptian delegation from entering the stadium, the thing which caused the Egyptian ambassador to leave. The statement cited that according to the match supervisor’s report Qadsia are responsible for the actions of its fans inside and outside the stadium.
The decision released by UAFA could be appealed by the Kuwaiti side in front of the Appeal Committee in the Arab association.
