CAF have announced the draw of the 2019 Champions League, which will witness the participation of Egypt giants Al Ahly and Ismaily.

The Red Devils are getting ready to face Tunisian side Espérance in the return-leg of the 2018 final, after winning 3-1 in Alexandria.

In case Al Ahly managed to lift the title, they will start the new Champions League campaign directly from the group-stages.

However, if they failed to do so, they will be up against the winner of the clash between Ethiopia’s Jimma Aba Jifa and Djibouti Télécom of Djibouti.

Meanwhile, Ismaily, who will take part in the CAF Champions League for the first time since 2009 after finishing second in the Egyptian Premier League, will start from the round of 64.

The Yellow Dragons were drawn against Burundi Premier League champions Le Messager, with the first-leg taking place in Burundi and the return-leg in Ismailia.

If Ismaily managed to beat the Burundian side, they face the winner between ASF Bobo Dioulasso of Burkina Faso and 2008 CAF Champions League runners-up Coton Sport.
