West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang to represent Equatorial Guinea
Born in Spain, Obiang has represented the La Roja at the U-17, U-19, and U-21 level, but he is eligible for Equatorial Guinea through his family as both his parents and grandparents are from the African country.
He has been called-up by Equatorial Guinea a couple of times before, as they have been trying unsuccessfully to persuade Obiang to play for them since 2011, before accepting the offer seven years later.
The 26-year-old could make his international debut for them when they host Senegal in the fifth round of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
It has been confirmed that Equatorial Guinea, who are currently ranked 146 in the FIFA rankings, will miss out on the upcoming AFCON after picking up only three points from four games in group A.
They lost their place to Senegal and Madagascar as both countries have 10 points, with only two games to go.
