Helmy Toulan resigns as Ittihad of Alexandria coach
Ittihad have last won under the guidance of Toulan against Al Ahly with a thrilling 4-3 victory in October. Following that win, Ittihad had a series of negative results with a draw against Petrojet and three consecutive defeats against Pyramids, Misr El-Makkasa and Nogoom FC.
Toulan has presented his resignation to the club after Ittihad’s debacle on Monday against Nogoom FC, but the club is yet to decide the 68-year-old manager.
Ittihad currently occupy the 11th place in the Egyptian Premier League after 14 rounds.
Toulan had taken over as Ittihad of Alexandria as first team coach on September 24, succeeding Mohamed Omar who had resigned as well.
