Smouha name Tarek Yehia as new manager to replace Ali Maher
Yehia resigned as Petrojet manager last week following the team’s dramatic 3-2 defeat against by fellow strugglers Nogoom FC.
He will take charge of Smouha after Ali Maher handed in his resignation after the club’s poor start in the league, which saw them win only four games from 13.
Maher was appointed as Smouha manager last summer and under his tenure, the Alexandria based-club won five games, drew eight and lost once as they currently sit third in the league.
The disappointing results forced him to leave his post and the club’s president Farag Amer accepted his resignation and named Tarek Yehia as the new boss.
Smouha will be the ninth Egyptian club that Yehia has managed following spells at Zamalek, Ismaily, El-Masry, Misr El-Makkasa, Petrojet, Entag El-Harby, Petrojet, Tala’a El-Gaish, and El-Sharkia.
Yehia’s first game in charge will be against former club Petrojet on Monday, November 26.
