Mortada denies Ittihad Jeddah offer to buy Hamdi Nagguez
A photo of a letter from Ittihad Jeddah requesting the services of Hamdi Nagguez circulated recently indicating an official $3m bid for the Tunisian international as they are hopeful of signing him in January.
Mortada denied the news requesting media outlets to carefully review such claims before publishing.
“And not to publish false and untrue information, to disturb the stability of the team, as we’re currently leading the league table with 26 points,” the President told the club’s official website.
Ittihad Jeddah are aiming to enhance their squad after they have gotten off to a very poor start this season as they are yet to win a league game, drawing two while losing seven from their opening nine games.
However, Ittihad Jeddah media spokesman, Hussein El-Sherief, assured that the photo of the offer letter that was published on behalf of the club is fake and that they will aim to pursue those who were behind this fake letter to defend the club’s rights.
