VIDEO: Mohamed Sadek scores as Egypt U-23 narrowly beat Tunisia
The young Pharaohs beat Tunisia 4-1 on Thursday, thanks to goals from Karim El-Eraki, Nasser Mansi, and Mostafa Mohamed’s brace.
Three days later, Egypt hosted Tunisia in another friendly and managed to beat them again, but this time the goalscorer was Ismaily’s winger Mohamed Sadek.
Sadek scored the only goal of the game in the 8th minute after Mohamed Mahmoud played a brilliant through ball to put Sadek through on goal, and the latter then finished calmly past the goalkeeper.
The game witnessed the participation of Huddersfield winger Ramadan Sobhi, and Egypt internationals Taher Mohamed Taher and Mohamed Mahmoud, who played for the main national team on Friday.
Gent winger Ahmed Mostafa also featured after he was brought on in the 47th minute, replacing Mohamed Mahmoud.
In the 77th minute, Taher Mohamed was after an off-the-ball altercation with Malek Baayou, who was also sent-off six minutes later.
The game was part of the preparations for the young Pharaohs hosting the 2019 U23 AFCON where they will be expected to make a big impression.
