Al Ahly boss Carteron names squad for Al Wasl encounter
The Cairo giants must win in order to advance to the quarter-finals after they drew 2-2 in Egypt, thanks to Marwan Mohsen’s last minute equaliser.
Al Ahly will have to do it with no right-backs as trio Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Hany, and Bassem Ali are all injured. Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Naguib, Ahmed Hamdi, Mido Gaber, and Momen Zakaria will also miss the game.
On the other hand, Ahmed El-Sheikh, Walid Azaro, Nasser Maher, and Ahmed Alaa made the squad as well as Ahmed Hamoudi and Karim Nedved.
The return-leg will take place in Dubai on Thursday, November 22 at 17:30 CLT.
Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Mohamed El-Shennawy, Ali Lotfy.
Defenders: Saad Samir, Salif Coulibaly, Ayman Ashraf, Ahmed Alaa, Sabry Rahil.
Midfielders: Akram Tawfik, Karim Nedved, Hossam Ashour, Hesham Mohamed, Walid Soliman, Nasser Maher, Islam Mohareb, Mohamed Sherif, Ahmed El-Sheikh, Ahmed Hamoudi.
