Saudi side Al Shoulla appoint former Zamalek boss Galal as new manager
Saudi side Al Shoulla have announced the appointment of former Zamalek boss Khaled Galal as the club’s new manager.
Galal has been without a job since his departure from Zamalek in June 2018, when he led the Whites to Egypt Cup title over Smouha.
He will replace his compatriot Momen Soliman, who left the club last week to take charge of Egyptian Premier League side Petrojet.
According to reports, the 51-year-old has agreed to take over the Saudi second division side despite receiving numerous offers from Egyptian clubs.
He becomes the second Egyptian manager in the Saudi second division alongside former Egypt assistant manager Osama Nabih, who is in charge of Al Kawakb.
Al Shoulla currently sit 12th in the second division with 15 points from 12 games, only three points away from the relegation zone.
The club have Egyptian winger Mahmoud Shika in their ranks after he joined them on loan from Petrojet last summer.
