Al Masry sack Mimi Abdel-Razik after heavy loss to Haras El-Hodood
Mimi Abdel-Razik has been sacked as manager of Al Masry following their surprising 3-0 loss to newly promoted side Haras El-Hodood.
He may only have joined the club less than a month ago, but Abdel-Razik will be on his way out of Al Masry after a disappointing start to his to his new job.
The former Smouha manager took over the job, replacing Hossam Hassan, who left his post as Al Masry manager to take charge of Pyramids FC.
Abdel-Razik has led Al Masry in three games only, drawing his opening two with Ismaily and Wadi Degla, before suffering a 3-0 loss to Haras El-Hodood.
“I am no longer Al Masry manager. I have been sacked from my post,” Mimi revealed on Thursday.
“The club’s board are responsible for what has happened to the team. The best team in Egypt right now is Wadi Degla, whose board were patient with Takis Gonias despite losing seven games.
“What happened to me at Al Masry was the opposite of that,” he added.
Al Masry are currently 16th in the league table with 12 points from 10 games, winning just two games since the start of the season.
Their next game will be against fourth-placed Entag El-Harby on Sunday, November 25 at 20:00 CLT.
