Mahmoud ‘Kahraba’ scores a brace in Zamalek’s 2-1 victory against Dakhleya

Mahmoud ‘Kahraba’ scored a brace in Zamalek’s important 2-1 win against Dakhleya in the 15th fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

The game started with a bang, when Ahmed Said ‘Okka’ put Dakhleya in front just three into the game. The defender’s weak shot from the edge of the box crept past Mahmoud ‘Genesh’, making it 1-0.

The Whites responded quickly, as Youssef ‘Obama’ sent the ball to Kahraba, whose low strike drilled into the back of Mohamed Sobhy’s net, leveling things up in the 11th minute.

10 minutes before the full-time whistle, Kahraba was once again the centre of attention for the Whites, is when he received the ball in the right side of the penalty area, however, his right footed strike hit the right post, to deny Zamalek the lead.

Kahraba snatched the win for the White Knights in the dying moments of the game, when he got at the end of a loose ball after Sobhy dropped the ball in a dangerous zone. The striker finished into the empty net to secure the full three points for Zamalek.

Following the win, Zamalek top the league table with 29 points and are set to host Gouna next week. Meanwhile, Dakhleya, occupy the ninth spot with 16 points ahead of their encounter against Al Masry on the 10th of December.

Mohammed Salama is a 21-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
