Al Ahly impose hefty fine on team captain Hossam Ashour
Al Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz decided to impose a hefty fine on team captain Hossam Ashour after his actions during Al Wasl game.
The Red Devils were eliminated from Arab Club Championship after a 1-1 draw with Al Wasl at Zabeel Stadium, in the tournament’s round of 16.
Hossam Ashour objected and clashed with Moroccan referee Noureddine Jaafari and was sent off during the match. Abdel-Hafiz did not reveal the amount of the fine but described it as hefty.
In parallel, the club imposed another fine on Momen Zakaria for not showing up for the team’s training session on Saturday and not notifying the coaching staff about his absence.
