Tarek Soliman returns as Al Ahly goalkeeping coach
The French manager was sacked on Friday, following the Reds’ draw with Emirati side Al Wasl, with Mohamed Youssef being named as an interim coach.
Following Carteron’s departure, a number of the coaching staff has been relieved from their duties, most notably conditioning coach Michael Lindeman.
Goalkeeping coach Mostafa Kamal has also decided not to continue in his post, which made the club reappoint former coach Tarek Soliman.
Soliman left the club only last June alongside former manager Hossam El-Badry, who resigned after a poor run of results.
Al Ahly are yet to announce the name of the new manager, but they have revealed earlier that the new boss will be a foreign one.
The Reds’ next game will be against Arab Contractors in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday, November 27.
