VIDEO: Hussein El-Sayed scores as Al Ettifaq suffer dramatic defeat to Al Taawoun
El-Sayed opened the scoring for Al Ettifaq in the 11th minute following a great diving header inside the penalty area.
Just six minutes later Saudi forward Mohamed Al-Kuwaykibi doubled the lead for his side.
In the 30th minute former Partizan Belgrade forward Leandre Tawamba score Al Taawoun’s only goal of the game.
Just four minutes into the second-half Cape Verde Heldon striker scored Al Taawoun’s equalizer. In the 53rd minute Ettifaq midfielder Ali Hazazi got sent off after receiving second yellow card.
Then in the 72nd minute Cameroun’s Tawamba completed his brace and scored his side’s third goal. Four minutes later Burundi international Cedric Amissi scored Al Taawoun’s fourth and final goal
Following this result Al Ettifaq are currently seventh on the Saudi Professional League table with 14 points, they will face Al Shabab in their next game on Thursday November 29.
As for Al Taawoun they are currently sixth on the league table with 15 points and will face Al Fateh in their next game.
