Al Ahly: New coaching staff to be announced in 10 days

Al Ahly are set to announce the team’s new coaching staff after French coach Patrice Carteron was sacked following the Reds’ elimination from the Arab Club Championship. 

Assistant manager and former Al Ahly boss  has been named as interim manager until the club appoint a new manager.

“The new coaching staff will be announced in ten days,” Al Ahly’s executive director, Mohamed Morgan, said in radio comments to ON Sport FM.

“Al Ahly chairman Mahmoud El-Khatib is in constant contact with us to follow the updates about the new coach despite undergoing a surgery in Germany,” he added.

Morgan also pointed out that Carteron received all his dues after his dismissal. The former coach visited the club on Saturday to collect his belongings after a meeting with the board.

Al Ahly’s next encounter will be against Arab Contractors in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday, November 27. The Reds played only six games in the league so far and collected 11 points.

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.
