Al Ahly interim coach Mohamed Youssef has named his squad for the team’s encounter against Arab Contractors as they are set to return to the action in round 16.

Al Ahly’s constant involvement in CAF Champions League since August has caused them to see eight of their Egyptian Premier League games postponed by the EFA’s committee of competitions.

The Red Devils will kick off an intense month to play their delayed games starting Tuesday, November 27 with facing Arab Contractors, hoping to catch up with the teams in the lead of the league table and recompense the fans for their debacles in CAF Champions League and Zayed Club Champions Cup.

Al Ahly will enter the game with a list of players left on the sidelines in the likes of Mohamed El-Shennawy, Ahmed Fathi, Ali Maaloul, Walid Azarou and Mohamed Hany with diverse injuries.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly’s squad will see Ahmed El-Sheikh’s presence for the first time this season on domestic level.

Al Ahly full squad:

Goalkeepers: Aly Lotfi, Sherif Ekramy

Defenders: Bassem Ali, Saad Samir, Salif Coulibaly, Sabry Rahil, Ayman Ashraf

Midfielders: Hossam Ashour, Hesham Mohamed, Akram Tawfik, Karim Nedved, Mido Gaber, Ahmed El-Sheikh, Ahmed Hamoudi, Islam Mohareb, Walid Soliman, Mohamed Sherif, Nasser Maher

Strikers: Marwan Mohsen, Salah Mohsen.

Al Ahly had sacked French manager Patrice Carteron last week on the background of poor results, appointing his assistant Mohamed Youssef as caretaker. The club stated that a new coaching staff will be announced in the coming 10 days.
