Egypt midfielder has officially announced he is leaving MLS side after the end of their season, wishing the club the best in the future.

Ghazal moved to the Major Soccer League through the Canadian club in June 2017 after a short spell with Chinese outfit GZ Hengfeng. He made 36 appearances without registering any goal or assist in his year and a half with the club.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been training with Wadi Degla after the end of his side’s MLS season which saw them fail to reach the playoffs, however he refuted that this could be a preface to re-joining the Egyptian Premier League club.

“It was a pleasure to be part of your club. Big thanks to all the staff, players and fans who welcomed me for this period. I wish you good luck for the upcoming future,” Ghazal saluted Whitecaps on Twitter.

The Egypt international has been linked with a move to Egypt giants Al Ahly in January as the Red Devils seek to make reinforcements and turn their fortunes after losing the CAF Champions League final and getting knocked out from Zayed Club Champions Cup on the hands of UAE’s Al Wasl.
