Zamalek list for CAF Confederation Cup revealed


The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have revealed Zamalek’s squad list which is entrusted to take part in in the Confederation Cup.

Zamalek are currently thriving in the Egyptian Premier League being the leaders after playing 13 matches where they gathered 32 points from 10 wins, two draws and one defeat.

The Whites will start their campaign from the round of 32 and will be up against either of Togo’s league runners-up Gomido or AS CotonTchad of Chad in the first round of the competition.

Zamalek were knocked out of the first round of last season’s Confederation Cup by Ethiopia’s Welayta Dicha.

Zamalek full squad:

Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Gennesh, Omar Salah, Emad El-Sayed

Defenders: Ahmed Aboul-Fotouh, Bahaa Magdy, Hamdy Nagguez, Mahmoud Hamdy ‘El-Wensh’, Mohamed Abdel-Ghany, Hazem Emam

Midfielders: Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz, Ayman Hefny, Ferjani Sassi, Mahmoud Dunga, Mohamed Ibrahim, Mostafa Fathi, Tarek Hamed, Abdallah Gomaa, Mohamed Antar

Forwards: Ahmed Madbouly, Hamid Ahddad, Ibrahim Hassan, Kabongo Kasongo, Mahmoud Kahraba, Omar El-Said, Youssef Obama.
