manager has praised the heading ability of after his recent winning goal away at Swansea.

Standing at 6’6”, you would expect someone like Ahmed Hegazi to be dominant in the air. While he only netted twice last season, the Egypt international got off the mark for 2018-19 with what proved to be a winning goal against Swansea.

Following the game, Darren Moore had some kind words for Hegazi’s heading prowess stating “We just thought that we could expose the far post area. Matty (Phillips)’s delivery was spot on and we feel that in Craig (Dawson) and Ahmed (Hegazi) we’ve got two central defenders that heading is a strong point to their game.”

“Both got the timing of their run spot on and got the right contact. You have to be pleased when you work on something like that in training and it comes off.”

The win put the Baggies up to 4th in the table, only trailing Leeds United, Middlesbrough and the surprise leaders Norwich City.

West Brom’s next game is at home against Brentford at 10PM Egyptian time on Monday night.
