El-Gouna hire Hamada Sedky as head coach
Egyptian Premier League outfit El-Gouna have announced they have entrusted former Egypt assistant manager Hamada Sedky as new boss for the club’s first team, succeeding the resigning manager Hesham Zakaria.
Zakaria resigned from his post after his side lost 3-0 to Zamalek in the 16th fixture of the Egyptian Premier League with the Hurghada-based club accepting the coach’s resignation.
In the 17 matches he led the team in, the former Wadi Degla manager snatched four wins, lost seven matches and had seven draws.
El-Gouna stated that Sedky started his job with immediate effect after taking over the first training on Wednesday along with team’s athletic trainer Will Royal with the rest of the coaching staff to be named soon.
The 57-year-old manager had previous coaching experiences at Smouha, Wadi Degla and ENPPI. He also was appointed as Egypt U-23 coach and Egypt locals national team.
