Salah Mohsen out for five weeks, confirm Al Ahly
Al Ahly striker Salah Mohsen will face a five-week period on the sidelines after sustaining a muscular tear during the team’s game against Arab Contractors in the Egyptian Premier League.
Mohsen was injured and subbed off only six minutes into Al Ahly’s last league game against Contractors in which they fell to a 0-1 defeat, conceding their third consecutive defeat.
Al Ahly team doctor, Khaled Mahmoud, has declared that the 20-year-old Egypt international suffered a second degree groin muscle tear.
Mahmoud estimated Mohsen’s recovery period to be around five weeks, which means that he will miss out on the majority of Al Ahly’s postponed league games in December in addition to the preliminary round games in the CAF Champions League.
Mohsen has participated in five games for the Red Devils this season, scoring two goals. He joined the Egyptian Premier League reigning champions in January 2018 for 38 million EGP.
