Former Smouha coach Ali Maher takes over ENPPI job

Former Smouha coach has officially been appointed as manager after the departure of former first-team boss Khaled Metwally due to poor results.

Ali Maher handed in his resignation from his post at Smouha after the club’s poor start in the league, which saw them win only four games from 13.

ENPPI have been struggling since the start of the season for their woeful form after their first 15 games in the league, sitting in the 16th place with only 14 points from three wins, five draws and seven defeats.

Maher has signed a year-and-a-half contract with ENPPI, he will be accompanied by Abdel-Nasser Mohamed as director of football, Mohamed Abdel-Karim and Mohamed Sharaf as assistant coaches and Mostafa Fathi goalkeepers coach.

ENPPI management had accepted Khaled Metwally’s resignation as the first-team coach after their latest league defeat to Al Masry on Thursday.
