Al Ahly sign “Gazan Messi” Mahmoud Selme
Al Ahly have completed the signing of “Gazan Messi” Mahmoud Selme from Palestinian side Shuja’iyya.
The 21-year-old becomes the club’s second January signing after the arrival of Mohamed Mahmoud from Wadi Degla on Saturday.
Selme, known in his home country as the “Gazan Messi”, is a left-footed player, who can play at right wing and as an advanced playmaker.
The financial details and contract length behind the move are yet to be revealed, but it has been reported that the player will join the youth team.
The Red Devils are expected to sign more players in the upcoming period as they seek to turn their fortunes after losing the CAF Champions League final and getting knocked out from Zayed Club Champions Cup.
