Al Ahly agree deal to sign Palestinian forward Hamed Hamdan
Al Ahly have confirmed the signing of Palestinian forward Hamed Hamdan from Gaza SC on a five-year deal.
The 18-year-old becomes the second Palestinian to join the club this week after the arrival of “Gazan Messi” Mahmoud Selme from Palestinian side Shuja’iyya.
Hamdan can play at striker as well as an advanced player maker and will join the youth team like his compatriot Selme.
According to reports, the player has signed a five-year deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.
Hamdan will also not be counted against the foreign player’s quota due to him holding a Palestinian passport.
Al Ahly have made several signings for the youth team this season, with the likes of Amar Hamdi, Mostafa El-Badry, and Youssef El-Gebaly joining the club.
The Red Devils are expected to sign more players in the upcoming period as they seek to turn their fortunes after losing the CAF Champions League final and getting knocked out from Zayed Club Champions Cup.
