FA Cup third round draw: Sam Morsy’s Wigan face Ahmed Hegazi’s West Brom

The draw for the third round of the has set Egypt internationals Sam Morsy and Ahmed Hegazi against each other as face West Brom.

Wigan are currently 15th in the Championship table with 25 points in 20 matches, whereas West Brom are third with 35 points in 20 matches.

The last time both sides faced each other, it ended in 1-0 win for Wigan with West Brom getting a late sending off for midfielder Jake Livermore.

Encounters between Championship sides in the draw also include Ahmed Elmohamady’s against 14th-placed Swansea City.

The draw also includes a set of tough fixtures for all Pharaohs Abroad playing in the Premier League.

Mohamed Elneny’s will travel to face the winner between Blackpool of League One and non-league side Solihull Moors.

Ramadan Sobhi’s Huddersfield are set to face Bristol City, who are 14th in the Championship table.

Finally, Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool will face newly promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium.
