Premier League side show interest in Al Ahly’s Ali Maaloul – Report
Maaloul was one of Al Ahly’s key players this year in the CAF Champions League, having scored once and assisted five times during their journey to the final.
However, the Tunisian hasn’t been playing for two months due to a groin injury he picked up against Algerian side ES Setif in the first-leg of the semi-final of the CAF Champions League, which Al Ahly won 2-0.
The 28-year-old has been linked with several moves to leave the Red Castle, with teams such as Ittihad Jeddah showing interest in the veteran full-back.
It has also been reported that both Swansea City and Crystal Palace were eyeing a move for the Tunisian international last summer, but the player remained at the Red Devils.
Now according to Tunisian outlet Kawarji, Premier League side Cardiff City have shown interest to acquire his services.
Maaloul joined Al Ahly in 2016 from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien and has since been crowned Egyptian champion twice, as well as winning the Egypt Cup and the Egyptian Super Cup.
