Taher Mohamed focused on Contractors amid Al Ahly and Zamalek links
El Mokawloon forward Taher Mohamed insists he is focused on his current club despite being linked to the traditional giants of Egyptian football.
The 21 year old has gotten off to a great start this season, scoring three and assisting four as one of the star players in a Contractors side that have surprised everyone with their form as they find themselves in 5th place.
As is natural for a 21 year old in such good form, Taher Mohamed has been linked with the likes of Al Ahly and Zamalek. While this would be a huge opportunity for him, he insists that he is focused on Contractors.
He said “I am currently focused on the Arab Contractors teams to offer good results and achieve an advanced position in the league table. The team went through the difficult phase of the season for small players and second-class players. Imad Al-Nahhas, who completed the work of former coach Alaa Nabil.”
“After the end of the season, I will consult with the management of the club in my destiny, because I look forward to the professionalism in Europe again, and if I do not succeed, I will see the other offers. Playing for Ahly and Zamalek is an honour for any player. I do not pay attention to everything that is said in the media. Talk about any offers I consult with my parents and club officials. The contractors will remain my home as long as I am in Egypt, and I trust that the administration will not stand in front of my interests.”
Mohamed added, “Ahly is one of the biggest clubs in Africa and the world, and if I move it will be a great honor and I look forward to winning the African Champions League and other championships. I also wanted to impose myself on the Egyptian team and not only to be present, but to participate. I won the confidence of the technical team in the last game against Tunisia. I was happy to participate in the second half and the reaction was positive.”
In the meantime, El Mokawloon’s next game is at home against Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday 10th December at 2:45PM Egyptian time.
