Turkish manager Bülent Uygun has admitted that he is interested in signing Egypt international from Kasimpasa.

Trezeguet has been at Kasimpasa since July 2017, joining the club on loan from Anderlecht, before they made the move permanent last summer.

KingFut revealed before that Trezeguet was so close to joining Qatari side Al Rayyan, however, the negotiations fell through.

It appears that Al Rayyan manager still hasn’t lost hope as he confirmed on Sunday that he wants to sign the Egyptian ahead of the January transfer window.

“We wanted to sign both Trezeguet and Mbaye Diagne during the pre-season, but Kasimpasa revealed that they want to keep them at the club,” Uygun told RadyoSpor.

“I want to see Trezeguet and Diagne in my team, it will be great for me. We are currently negotiating with two or three players,” he added.

Trezeguet has scored 21 goals and provided 13 assists in 47 games with Kasimpasa, and the club’s sporting director admitted that Mahmoud could leave the club for the right price.

Kasimpasa are currently second in the Turkish Super League with 26 points, four behind leaders İstanbul Başakşehir. Their next game will be against Kayserispor on Monday.

On the other hand, Al Rayyan sit fourth in the Qatari Super League with 27 points from 15 games, nine behind league leaders Al Duhail.
