Marwan Mohsen nets a brace as Al Ahly defeat Tala’a El-Gaish 2-0

Marwan Mohsen scored a brace as Al Ahly defeated Tala’a El-Gaish 2-0 in the Egyptian Premier League.

Al Ahly got off to a quick start, as Ayman Ashraf sent Ahmed El-Sheikh through on goal, however, Mohamed Bassam saved cleverly,

Mohsen broke the deadlock for the Reds in the 29th minute, as he was left with a simple tap in after a great effort from Mohamed Sherif.

The International striker doubled his tally less than two minutes later, as he got at the end of a loose ball after a poor save by Bassam.

El-Sheikh nearly added the third for tbe Red Devils in the 78th minute, but his splendid effort hit the side netting.

Just five minutes before the fulltime whistle, Al Ahly were awarded a penalty kick. Mohsen failed to score his third of the night from the spot as Bassam put on a brilliant save.

The win takes Al Ahly to the fifth league spot with 20 points from ten games and are set to face Misr El-Makassa on the 11th of December.

Mohammed Salama is a 21-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
