David Ospina: Napoli believe in Champions League qualification, Liverpool is not Salah only
Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina has demonstrated his confidence in defeating Liverpool and going through when they face each other in their Champions League group deciding game on Tuesday.
Napoli are going into the final fixture of the group stage on the top of Group C with nine points, but still face the danger of early exit in the case of a defeat to Liverpool who got no option but to win.
“It’s a very good opportunity for us. They are great opponents and we know we are up against a really great team. But we also have a great coach and great players,” Ospina told The Sun.
“We’re confident and providing we do our things well, we believe we can succeed in getting through to the knockout stages of the Champions League.”
“I know that he [Salah] scored three goals on Saturday. He’s a great player but we have to pay attention to the whole team. Liverpool showed they are a great team — and are not just about one player — and that is why they got to the last Champions League final.”
