Official: Al Masry appoint Ehab Galal as new manager
Al Masry officially assigned former Zamalek boss Ehab Galal as the club’s new manager to replace resigned coach Mostafa Younis.
The Green Eagles recently fell to a surprising 2-0 loss to Burkinabe side Salitas FC in the CAF Confederation Cup, which will make the team’s mission harder for the second leg match in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
Less than a month ago the club’s board decided to sack Mimi Abdel-Razik, who took over the team in late October replacing former coach Hossam Hassan.
Now Ehab Galal will be leading the team after he left his post in Libya where he managed Ahli Tripoli since July this year.
Galal’s coaching career took a new turn with Misr El-Makkasa after a stunning season in 2016/17 as they finished second in the league qualifying for the 2018 CAF Champions League.
He took over Zamalek for a short period of time but his quest with the White Knights did not go as expected. Galal resigned after 17 official matches with the club following seven losses, two draws and eight victories.
