Arsenal legendary coach Arsene Wenger praises Salah
After a little bit of a tough start, Mohamed Salah is back on track helping his team to lead the Premier League table seven points ahead of second-placed Manchester City.
The 26-year-old was influential in Liverpool’s recent 5-1 victory over Arsenal in the league scoring once and producing an assist.
“Mohamed Salah is a unique player. He is capable of scoring and assisting at high rates,” Arsene Wenger told beIN Sports TV channel.
Wenger also spoke about Salah’s injury last season during the UEFA Champions League final game against Real Madrid claiming that he was unlucky because this injury prevented him from shining during the 2018 World Cup.
“As he returns back to his normal form, I can confirm that he will be one of the best players in the world,” the former coach added.
The Egyptian player made 27 appearances with Liverpool this season in all competitions. He managed to score 16 times and produced eight assists.
Salah is currently the Premier League’s joint-top scorer alongside Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Tottenham’s Harry Keane after netting 13 goals this season.
