has won Liverpool’s Goal of the Month award for December, having received the most votes for the goal that sealed his hat trick against .

Salah had an incredible December, scoring seven goals in all competitions including the winner against Napoli to send Liverpool through to the Champions League knockout stage.

However, despite Liverpool’s overall free scoring in December, it was Salah who has been deemed to have scored the pick of the bunch for his third against Bournemouth.

In what appeared to be a difficult tie at face value, Liverpool cruised to a 4-0 win away at the Cherries with Salah playing a starring role. On the day, Salah’s first goal was fortunate as he appeared to be in an offside position when he tapped in the rebound from Firmino’s shot. Just after half time, Salah doubled the lead after Firmino launched a counter attack and found Salah who beat Ake one-on-one before finishing calmly to the far post.

If there was question over the first goal, there could be no doubt about Salah’s third which won this award. After Cook was caught in possession around 25 yards from goal, Salah took the ball and went face to face with Begovic before faking a shot to get past the keeper and, even though Bournemouth now had a few defenders on the line, Salah found the space to find the back of the net.

The goal can be seen in a video posted by Liverpool’s twitter as seen below:

Salah will now focus on Liverpool’s next game in another trip to the South coast as they travel to Brighton where they will kick off at 5pm Egyptian time on Saturday 12th January.
