Youssef Msakni joins Belgian side KAS Eupen on loan
Msakni faced a big misfortune when he sustained a knee injury with his team Al-Duhail which was later confirmed as an Anterior Cruciate Ligament rupture which ruled him out of the 2018 World Cup last year with Tunisia.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder joined Al-Duhail from Tunisia giants Esperance de Tunis in 2013. He has marked 67 goals and delivered 47 assists in the QSL since then.
“Thanks to the KAS Eupen’s good contacts with the Qatari champion Al Duhail SC and the desire of Youssef Msakni to play football in Europe, we managed to sign this top player until the end of the season,” KAS general director Christoph Henkel said.
“He gives us the opportunity to intensify our attack. Contrary to our original plan to not make further signings, we were delighted to take this opportunity.”
