has won Liverpool’s Player of the Month award for December following a fruitful month that saw him score 7 goals.

After already winning the club’s Goal of the Month award, Salah has scooped up another prize as he was voted the official Player of the Month for December.

Upon winning the award, Salah said “Now we need to carry on. We have to show a good reaction after the last league game against Man City. It will be very important for us as a team and as a club. We have to show how to react. I am very excited about tomorrow [at Brighton] and I think it’ll be a very good game.”

The main contributing factor in winning the award was the 7 goals he scored in the month, and when asked which was his favourite he said “I think I would go for the one against Napoli. It was the most important game in that period and I am happy I was able to score, so I’d pick that one. I was very happy to get the hat-trick at Bournemouth, but I think I’d go for Napoli because it was such a big game for us to carry on in the Champions League. It was very important.”

Salah’s competition for this award can be seen by the fact that Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk won the Premier League Player of the Month award, but was unable to beat the Egyptian to the club prize.

Salah cna now focus on Liverpool’s next game which is against Brighton on Saturday 12th of January at 5PM Egyptian time.
